BUVEZ
Branding - Website Design - Menu Design
For my graphic design capstone project, I investigated how design can improve local businesses. Through my project I showcased how I could enhance the local coffee shop Buvez by visually communicating their services and making a cohesive brand experience that amplifies the unique voice of their establishment.
Buvez is a European style café owned and operated by an Athens, GA local. They serve coffee in the day, drinks at night, and host a variety of community events and performances. Their main goal is to create a welcoming environment that invites their customers to sit and stay awhile.
While Buvez has a great space and a loyal clientele they lack a clear visual identity and cohesion across platforms. Information surrounding their offerings hasn’t been updated in over five years, and their lack of website makes it difficult to locate accurate information surrounding their business.
I honed in on Buvez’s three main offerings; coffee, drinks, and community. I associated shapes with each word so that there would be a visual trigger that audiences could locate across applications and platforms. These helped me build a visual foundation and maintain consistency.
With the visual system created, I turned my focus to its application. I developed physical products such as tabletop menus, menu boards, merchandise and paper goods. These existed not only in person, but also on the brand-new website I created for Buvez’s customers.
